Below images show before & after DPF soot content values through our diagnostic machine.
Following on from our previous introduction to DPF and why they are so important to look after, we thought that we would show a DPF Restore in progress.
Our client had reported an engine management light on the dashboard, upon investigation the vehicle reported a soot content of 28 mg and due to the driving history of the vehicle it was not able to actively regenerate itself.
We performed a full DPF Restore using our specialist machine which is a soap-based treatment designed to breakdown soot and ash particles restoring flow to a particulate filter. It is used when a DPF has become completely blocked and is unable to trigger its own active regeneration.
Key Features
• Restores flow to completely blocked DPF
• Improves fuel economy
• Reduces soot and exhaust gas emissions
• Maintains higher engine performance
Benefits
• No DPF removal necessary
• Lower maintenance cost
• Time and labour savings
Following on from the DPF Restore the vehicle was showing a 0.26g soot content which in turn improved the drive performance of the vehicle, removed the engine management light and solved the customers problem.
The below video shows our DPF Restore & Regeneration machine at work.
